What I’m wondering is if you’re a member of any of those sites, are you grandfathered into this new site or do you have to start all over again. I don’t see why one should change things but I’m not a pro with that kind of thing. 🤷🏽♂️
You’re grandfathered. The site will automatically transition to ASGMax.
A place for all the dead sites (rodsroom, stagcollective, pride, disruptive) that are either dying and on their way out or no longer make new scenes, all at one place. so, it’s a like a gay porn graveyard. got it.
Haha. I couldn’t put it better. But it’s also sad on one side to see gay porn going under. In addition, it is noticeable that all these “big” companies that have several “studios” running permanently have the same actors with permanently the same scenes. Just a different setting or story. lol
No fucking deal
They’ve already started rebranding their inept, Disruptive Films videos, into the “True Male” label, with none of the laughable “Twilight Zone” type stories. NextDoorStudios is known for their compulsion to spawn multiple, concurrently running sites over the years. You may remember when each of their exclusive models Rod Daily, Austin Wilde, Mason Wyler, etc, had their own “sites” until that idea tanked. It appears that the accumulated junk they’ve created this time has morphed into a “new” brand, with a lot of the content of these failing sites recycling “classic” videos. It’s an online garage sale. New name, new marketing, new graphics. Same old gimmick. Go back to your homes. Nothing to see here.
Megasites are always a desperation move for companies that can’t get enough subscribers for their individual sites. It looks like studio porn is still struggling.
No one bought subscriptions for individual sites in the previous structure. You purchase and maintain a primary subscription – say to Next Door Studios – and then bundle another site like Active Duty for a one-time fee. Members retain access to bundled sites as long as they keep their primary account.
Megasites such as Adult Time, and now Alpha Studio Group, have plenty of subscribers and high retention rates. Evident by the fact they keep producing content, and higher budget content at that.
This is evident in the fact that they continue to produce content, and with higher budget content. That’s funny. They always only have actors who are already known and have been shooting gay porn for other sites for years. Where’s the exclusivity? Something new? New faces, talents, actors? They have the same structure as pages like Next Door and the same scenes, processes, stories and and and. Only the budget is higher? Yes of course…..LOL
I wrote on the previous subscription model. Not performers. That wasn’t even brought up by MOP User’s comment to which I replied.
Porn studios are businesses. Such companies stop producing a product when they fail to turn a profit. Alpha Studio Group is running at a profit. It has a consistent subscriber base, and the revenue it brings in, to operate over an accepted margin which allows for the reinvestment of funds back into the business.
I am unsure what you are disputing.
Nextdoor is literally the most cringy gay porn site- it create 1000 different sub-sites all of them stupid
NextDoor Raw
NextDoor Twinks
NextDoor Trump Supporters (90% of employees)
At the beggining NextDoor was supposed to be a straight porn site only but they needed gay cash so they started pushing soft gay content in 2008 (Cody Cummings) then in 2010-2012 they created some mediocre bunch of exclusives composed mostly of gay-for-payers(Tyler Torro,James Huntsman) or bisexuals( Rod Daily,Samuel O’toole, Marcus Mojo) with only one gay(Austin Wilde). Most of those exclusives turned against them plus less and less customers wanted to see some boring “performers” that wished they were elsewhere. So since 2014 they decided to hire more bisexuals who were def into sex (Markie More) or even gays(gollum Dante Martin). Then in 2015 ND bought Active Duty which brought another set of (mostly) bisexual guys( Quentin Gainz,Ivan James) who became exclusives for both sites.
Generally shitty site that should be forgotten along with Corbin Fischer and Sean Cody that give that ridiculous belief that straight(or bi with girlfriend) guys are better and more desirable than gays.
Happy they didn’t do streaming only. Everything’s the same as before except my membership content has expanded. ASGmax gave members a great bonus. I guarantee they get more subscribers and have higher renewal rates.
I agree it great that they allow downloads as I never subscribe to streaming only sites. No wonder their contents ends up on torrent sites all the time like Beef Cake Hunter et al!
