Well, this seals the deal. I will not be rejoining Bel Ami. I don’t need it.

I hope this tanks their new subscription numbers. Streaming-only is a bogus deal, especially for guys with slow internet connections, traveling, or anyone wanting to watch scenes offline. (I’m not streaming a 4k movie to my television.)

Be careful when you sign up for studios if download member benefits aren’t laid out. Sites like Falcon have “unlimited streaming/downloads” in your face to help choose between duration tiers, CockyBoys’ is found in the FAQ, and Kristen Bjorn offers downloads no matter what. If you have to ask, email or chat with support and ask.

I’m not sure if this is relevant in today’s computer software world given the availability of stream capture and screen recording software where users can save whatever they see on their screen to a file on their disk.

Still, that’s a little more complicated than what’s been the norm up until now.

Where was this posted? All current subscribers should have been notified, but I haven’t seen anything.

IF I’m reading correctly, current subscribers will keep download privileges as long as they maintain their subscription? This is what happened with Sean Cody.

My initial reaction is strongly negative, but I wonder what percentage of their subscribers actually do download. I suspect it’s a relatively low number, but I doubt that BA would ever share that data (but they’ve likely calculated the effects of this change).

Discussion board – search Streaming Only

Thanks, Denz. I did find it but it seems to have flown under the radar – no discussion on the BA board (unless they’re censoring).

I’m so glad I left BelAmi when I did cause I’m not down with that at all.

Ah looks like they’re studying the same course as Sean Cody. The name of the course is “How To Fuck-Up Your Legacy & Website” 101.

I might subscribe if the price came down on an annual membership.

Just streaming works fine for me. I see a video once and generally don’t need to see it again.

Oh, people are going to pirate the shit out of them

They didn’t know about google extension that allows you to download 4k videos don’t they?
