You can’t “buy the rights” to something someone else produced. He signed a model release before filming, and it belongs to Freshmen/BelAmi. He could make them an offer, but they’re under no obligation to sell something they made.

What the hell did you think would happen when you filmed with one of the most successful gay porn studios? Your image and performances are distributed throughout the world. With the way BelAmi holds onto scenes, something you filmed this year may not be released for another five years.
Performers should be required to attend an 8 hour long seminar where the singular topic is how it is impossible to completely separate their porn work from their personal lives. Someone will find out, that someone will talk, and others will judge you for it. It’s an unfortunate part of sex work.
